From their beginnings in post-autumn 2005, Iain Armstrong (ex-65dos), Tom Doyle, Sam Dougherty and Simon Linskill have fused together an ideas factory that, in a relatively short period has achieved 15 demo tracks, 8 live ones and a music video shot before the band’s debut show.

After many gigs in 2006, and plaudits from the metal, punk and even indie crowds, Actionier thought a rest was in order. That thought lasted about 4 minutes, and then the band sat down, stood up, and recorded the Mathlete EP, due for exposure in 2007. The Mathlete EP is the culmination of everything they had done so far – a big energetic and lively sound encompassing math rock with their trademark catchiness, and the DIY ethic left intact.

But what do I know, I’m just their dad.
