GSR Music signs Arkangel & Final Prayer

GSR Music is proud to welcome Arkangel and Final Prayer to GSR's ever stronger growing roster.
Brussel's Arkangel will release their third full length on GSR Music in May 2008. They just finished recording "ARKANGEL IS YOUR ENEMY" in "de Studio" and the production is done by Alan Douces (mastodon, dillinger escape plan, converge). With this new album Arkangel spits their rage and declares a total war against all through music and lyrics.
New MP3's as well as final releasedates in May will be up within the next weeks, so stay tuned.
Berlin's Final Prayer found a new home with GSR Music. After a couple of highly acclaimed releases, numerous tours all over Europe as well as countless weekend gigs, Final Prayer are now set to kick off their second full length effort, entitled “FILLING THE VOID”. Fueled by the state of the world “FILLING THE VOID” is Final Prayer's smashing answer to all the bullshit that surrounds us all.
Sticking to their roots while at the same time improving every nuance of their sound, was just the vision they set out to capture. As guitar player Flo explains: “We simply tried to make every fast part faster, every breakdown heavier, every sing-along catchier, without losing sight of what Final Prayer is all about - plain, pure and brutal hardcore with a strong socio-political message.”

STRENGTH APPROACH - ALL THE PLANS WE MADE ARE GOING TO FAIL; releasedate mid April
Rome's Strength Approach unleash their debut GSR offering titled ALL THE PLANS WE MADE ARE GOING TO FAIL and what a debut it is. From the first second to the last, Strength Approach's brand of hardcore explodes from the speakers with raging intensity and yet rich melody that fuse together to bring you infectious and instantly memorable songs in an old school hardcore vein that is reminicent of bands such as Sick Of It All and Kid Dynamite, yet doesn't sound stale or jaded, but fresh, vibrant and bursting with energy. The 15 songs that make up ALL THE PLANS WE MADE ARE GOING TO FAIL all have that burning, desperate intensity of a live show that so many bands seem unable to capture in the studio, which is just what Strength Approach have managed to do. The result is raw, yet polished and full of energy which is instigated by the razor sharp guitars and tuneful, yet aggressive vocals of singer Alex. Every song is an anthem in it's own right and when listening to this, you can visualise the pile ons, sing alongs and stage dives that will take place when Strength Approach obliterate everyone with their crushing live shows. These songs are definitely written for audience participation and no doubt chaos will ensue when they take the stage. A glorious album that keeps the roots of hardcore intact, alive and pumping with energy and intensity.

APOCALYPSE NOW - EMPIRES FALL; release mid May
"Empires Fall" is the much anticipated sophomore album from Paris' Apocalypse Now and it doesn't disappoint one bit. Still in the same vein as their debut GSR album "Confrontation With God", Apocalypse Now show a new maturity with their song writing that builds on their formula of bringing tight riffing and crushing intensity to new levels by incorporating killer hooks that don't overdo it on the melody, but give just enough to bring more diversity to their sound, giving birth to a raging album that encapsulates the listener more and more with every listen. Apocalypse Now's progression is clear and concise and "Empires fall" showcases that progression full on with every crushing hammer that is each song. Wearing their influences on their sleeves, yet still throwing in their own style, Apocalypse Now's roots remain true to Thrash Metal and Metallic New York hardcore. "Empires Fall" is a passionate, energetic offering that will have heads banging and moshpits slamming from left to right and front to back. This album was made to be heard live and played in big venues and judging from this record, that is what will come to Apocalypse Now.
