A Day To Remember release new album

posted by: David on 17 November 2010

The day has finally arrived for A Day To Remember and their highly-anticipated release of What Separates Me From You.

Without a formal announcement that the album was available on iTunes yesterday, What Separates Me From You pummeled through the list, putting themselves at #1 on the Top Albums Chart, ahead of last week’s record-breaking Taylor Swift.

The first single from the new album: “All I Want” is already drawing major attention and flying up the modern rock charts. Within the first 24 hours of it being posted online on KROQ’s (Los Angeles’ flagship rock station) website, the song registered over 61,000 views setting a KROQ record. The track was also #1 Most Added for three weeks in a row.

Coinciding with the release, iTunes has selected “All I Want” as their Single of the Week beginning today, while the entire catalog will be available at a special price on iTunes all week long. Lead singer Jeremy McKinnon gives his thoughts on “All I Want.” “This song is about the struggle that comes with doing what's right for you, even if it doesn't make sense to others. Live life for yourself, and be happy.”

MTV has been a long-time supporter of ADTR, and has again invested in the prosperity of not only this release, but of the band as well, making A Day To Remember their Posted Artist for the month of November. For the entire month, MTV.com is the place the see new videos, exclusive photos, band updates and more.

Since their formation in 2003, Ocala, Florida’s A Day To Remember have grown from a small band with a dedicated local fan-base into a worldwide phenomenon, gaining the respect and adoration from their peers as much as their fans. This hasn’t been an overnight success story – A Day To Remember have worked hard to win over every fan they’ve made. Over the course of three albums, the band has sold out entire continental tours, landed a Top 25 Billboard debut and topped the Billboard Indie Albums Chart.

A true testament to the diligence and hard work that A Day To Remember puts into their music, What Separates Me From You shows the band’s widening spectrum and is certainly the triumphant next step in their already shining career. Their current tour with label mates Close Your Eyes is just the beginning, as their 2011 plans bring this quintet around the world and back. They have perfected a genre and their latest effort enhances their already impressive catalog, hitting harder and bouncing bigger than ever before.

Geen onaardige plaat, kan niet in de schaduw staan van de vorige twee.

ik vind hem tegenvallen, tis meer punk geworden en nog minder hardcore (op 3 nummers na)
