Chimaira - The Dehumanizing Process DVD

Over 250.000 copies have been sold of the album “The Impossibility Of Reason”, but the process of making this incredible record wasn’t smoothly at all times, as the documentary on this DVD shows. In about 90 minutes the complete birth of this record is captured, from the moment the band enters the studio until the European tour to promote their new album. We witness the departure of guitarist Jason Hager and drummers Andols Herrick and Ricky Evensand and we see how the band moves on and survives. There is also a crucial discussion going on whether or not to follow a commercial path. In its structure, this documentary resembles “A Year And A Half In The Life Of Metallica” a lot, a band which the guys in Chimaira are all big fans of. As a bonus you’ll also find an hour of live material on “The Dehumanizing Process”: seven songs that were recorded during the Roadrage Tour 2003 in 013, Tilburg. On top of that you’ll get the four video clips that the band has released on this DVD. And if that’s not enough, you’ll receive another present, because with this DVD comes a free remastered version of the 1999 EP “This Present Darkness”, including the extra songs “Gag” and “Refuse To See”. All in all “The Dehumanizing Process” is a great DVD that sounds magnificent thanks to Dolby Digital. It’s fair to say that this is a must have for the fans of Chimaira.
