v/a - Eastpak Resistance Tour 2 DVD

I Scream Records continue the tradition of releasing a DVD of the previous Eastpak Resistance Tour prior to the new edition. This time it features eight bands, just like last time, and it sure aren’t small bands we’re talking about here: Madball, Ignite, Death By Stereo, Sworn Enemy, Length Of Time, Backfire!, Knuckledust and Convict. Too bad that Suicidal Tendencies wouldn’t cooperate, otherwise the party would have been complete. The quality of this second issue is much better than the previous one, because this time they choose a more dynamic way of editing the shows, which means more crowd footage (very important for a hardcore show, as we all know). The ‘wall of death’ that Knuckledust created is very well filmed and the same goes for the footage that was shot of the mosh pit. The sound is also great and that is something that isn’t the case for every hardcore DVD around. The two headliners Madball and Ignite prove why they have such a big fan base (by the way, am I the only one that gets goose bumps from Ignites version of “Sunday Bloody Sunday”?), but the lesser-known bands also deliver a convincing set. The only downsides are the confusing menus (when you go to the ‘bands’ menu, you can’t go back) and the very fast-paced editing for the Madball and Ignite shows. But that’s just small criticism, because this DVD belongs in the collection of every hardcore fan.

| Weinig byzonders als je het mij vraagt... Niet echt goed geluid, zeer lauw publiek de hele tijd, en weinig spectaculair gefilmd. Beter hadden ze vanuit het publiek kunnen filmen en dan niet in Brussel. |

Yep als je vas de sfeer moet klagen kom maar dan ook in de pit  want als voor mij gebeurt het altijd zoals het moet! and if you can't enjoy it just leave it!!! BXL suffers from a lack of shows... |

| wankers, deze dvd is net erg goed, goed geluid voor een live hardcore show, verschillende camerastandpunten en geweldige sfeer + geweldige bands, wat moet je meer hebben? je hebt toch steeds zeikerds in de scene die op alles liggen te scheiten, goede review overigens David... |

| niet mee eens als ze de laatste keer filmden zal je wat zien op Sick of it all en slapshot in de AB, ik vind het er altijd supercool, beste zaal , beste geluid, en zelf cinemazetels vanachter waar je de four way braveheart kon uit bewonderen... prachtig! |

| Goed beeld en geluid, zeker voor een hc dvd. Was een supercoole dag in AB en zeker geen lauwe zooi. |

| Deze DVD mag in mijn ogen niet eens in de schaduw staan van de 1e DVD. Maar dan spreek ik over de bands op de 2e DVD. Sorry, but i'm in the tuff guy scene. Voor een hardcoreliefhebber zeker een must a have! |
