Incarnate - A Dark Age Of Lies

When Counterpart split up their vocalist Donnie told me about his new band Incarnate and described it as dark metal “core”. I guess he was right, Incarnate plays metalcore with a capital metal. I guess you could compare them to Counterpart(but also to Shattered Realm and No Retreat). Although in my opinion Incarnate did a better job at song writing. The song structure is better and they don’t get boring after three or four spins in a row, also Incarnate seems to sound more powerful. (I still think that 22 minutes is still to long when a CD only contains 5 tracks.) A Dark Age Of Lies has a pretty good production and with these five solid tracks Incarnate definitely made a good first impression on me… I think that with some more “hardcore” influences and shorter songs Incarnate definitely has a lot of potential. All you kids who dig “heavy mosh” should definitely check these guys out!
