Nonsense - Burning Inside

Nonsense is one of the few old school hardcore bands out of France and they have been together since 1997. Their sound is a bit like Stretch Arm Strong with some Sick Of It All and Give Up The Ghost influences. They use two kinds of singing voices in the band, one screaming voice which sounds good and a bit like Wes from Give Up The Ghost and one clean voice which sounds really horrible. The reason for this is his very poor pronounciation of English words; it really makes it hard for me to understand the lyrics without reading the lyrics sheet and besides this it also makes it annoying to listen to. I don�t mind a slight accent, but this is just too much. Musically it is very decent, but none of the songs stand out. None of the songs really grab my attention. The production of this record isn�t optimal either; the vocals are mixed in way too soft in comparison with the instruments for my likes. So to sum up this record, you have some okay songs sung by an annoying singer and a not so okay production. This is not for me.
