Terror - Lowest Of The Low (re-release)

I’m sure I don’t have to introduce Terror to you, because they must be one of the most popular bands of the last years. This CD is a re-release of the Lowest Of The Low EP that was released by Bridge Nine a few years ago. I won’t review that whole EP, because Duncan already did that very accurately, you can find his review here. I think this is one of the few records that can be considered a modern day classic. But Roadrunner did a lot more than just release the same record again.

Besides the 9 tracks of Lowest Of The Low you also get a cover of Dag Nasty’s “Can I Say” that fits Terror sound surprisingly well without sounding like a completely different song, 2 songs from the split EP with Ringworm, 10 songs from a live-show in Japan, liner notes by the band itself and complete new artwork. The live-set is great to listen to. It’s cool to hear what this band sounds like live and it sounds like they are really enjoying playing there. The live-songs are very intense, especially “Better Off Without You” and “Push It Away”. The liner notes aren’t really spectacular, they just thank the people and bands who have helped them out and tell you what’s on the record. The new artwork looks nice but I don’t think it would be a reason to buy this record. The music on it is! If you don’t own this record it’s a great opportunity to get it with a lot of extra songs. When you’re a big Terror fan I think the extra tracks will be enough to buy this re-release. Roadrunner did a good job on this, but why isn’t the live-pic on the backside from the show in Tokyo that’s on the record?

	verdomme zeg, een heleboel extra nummers, de echte fan wordt weer mooi in de zeik gezet, want die had die ep natuurlijk al liggen en dezelfde plaat opnieuw kopen omdat er extra nummers op staan, neen dank u...Niettemin leuk voor mensen die de ep nog niet in huis hebben... damn

	Ik zie de meerwaarde niet van zo'n re-release. Dit hadden ze beter over een jaar of 8 kunnen doen.

	Bands die dit soort re-releases uitbrengen naaien hun eigen fans, want die moeten hem dan opnieuw aanschaffen om al het materiaal te hebben.

	Idd, mensen die Terror pas kennen sinds de 2e plaat (en dat zijn er veel) kunnen zo mooi die 1e kopen, en hebben nog veel extra's ook.

	Hoe meer ik die tweede luister, des te slechter ik hem vind. Voor de mensen die de eerste dus nog niet hebben, is deze release verplichte kost. Lowest Of The Low is zondermeer het beste wat Terror tot nu toe heeft uitgebracht. Trefwoorden hier zijn: HARD en SNEL.

	ik bedoel meer dat fans graag al het materiaal van de band die ze goed vinden willen hebben. In dit geval betekent dat dus 2 keer dezelfde cd kopen, met andere woorden "genaaid worden". en nee, je moet niks, maar het is de keuze tussen "geen volledige terror-collectie" of "2 keer dezelfde cd kopen". Waardoor de band terror ervoor zorgt dat je een negatieve keuze moet maken, omdat ze beiden negatief zijn.
