The ice age has come to an end. Thank you all for your support over the years. It's been fun, but it's time for someone else to take over. Head over to SWNK for your daily dose of hardcore music. While you're there, check out the interview with the founders of Asice.net. - David

Hardknox - Colosseum

Own release

You never know what you’ll get when a DIY cd drops into your mailbox. In this case, with Hardknox, it’s not that bad. The band has not spent much money on the promotional aspects of the record, but they chose a good studio: Midas. That’s what saved them, because otherwise their music would never even be noticed. You see, the music and vocals are pretty standard and remind me of Slumlords, Second Chance and a bit of Pro-Pain. That’s a genre where you don’t wander off into experiments and neither did Hardknox. This no-nonsense type of hardcore/metal crossover will always have a place in both scenes, so Hardknox will always have an audience.
