Another One Dead - Come What May

For those who've read the Cutdown review, this is one of those Finnish bands I was talking about. It's in the line of most bands from Finland, metallic hardcore with a tuffguy and euro touch. But this is definitely not of the same high quality as Cutdown is. And with high quality I songs that sound sincere, energetic, raw and keep your attention... after a couple of spins "Come What May" doesn't grown on me any more and tends to bore me. It's not like these 11 tracks horrendous but they just don't stand out. I listened to this release 6 or 7 times and still I'm not really sure what I should write about, it's background music. It fades away and doesn't ever grab you by the throat... just like a good hardcore album should. It should get the adrenalin flowing, flip the switch and should make you want to crush and demolish everything in sight. One thing I must give these guys credit for is that they recorded and produced this release themselves. It's not top of the line but sure as hell sounds decent and raw. All in all Come What May is a mediocre releases in an almost flooded metalcore/mosh scene.
