Keep It Clear - Demo 2007

When you read the line �Ideals die out but the diehard remain�, taken from the opening track �Alone�, you�ll know what Keep It Clear is all about. This straight edge band from Vancouver, Canada features members of Go It Alone, Blue Monday, In Stride and Deadsure, but I guess that just mentioning the first two bands will be enough for all you kids that love old school hardcore. Don�t think that it�s just a continuation of the style that Go It Alone and Blue Monday play, because Keep It Clear sounds different. I�m not easily impressed by old school hardcore, but I must say that I really like this band. They play a hard-hitting mixture of Right Brigade and Floorpunch, so it�s no wonder they got signed by our very own Not Just Words Records to release their debut EP.

The lyrics of these songs are all about straight edge. That may be clich�, but Keep It Clear also has a sense of humour (check out the funny Blood For Blood-esque barroom sounds in �Watch It Crumble�). All in all it�s a great demo that creates high expectations for their upcoming release. Let�s see if they manage to live up to it.
