Things We Say - Our Decisions

posted by: Nico on 10 April 2008

Townhall

It always surprises me that some non-western countries have such a vital scene with some very good bands and South Korea is no exception. The Geeks are around for years now and have released several interesting records. A side project of The Geeks is Things We Say. The singer of The Geeks plays bass in this band. The name obviously is derived from the Gorilla Biscuits and music wise it comes pretty close to that band also. The lyrics have a Chain Of Strength feeling too. The artwork looks modern and the whole idea and colour setting has been done before a lot lately. An above average youth crew that is good enough for a bunch of spins, but it doesn’t get stuck in your head or makes you want to have this cd on instant repeat. Still a good effort, but there are better fish in the pond.
