The ice age has come to an end. Thank you all for your support over the years. It's been fun, but it's time for someone else to take over. Head over to SWNK for your daily dose of hardcore music. While you're there, check out the interview with the founders of Asice.net. - David

Stardumb

On your marks, Ready Set Go!

Pop punk nerds rejoice: summer is knocking on our doors. You can almost feel the sunbeams touching your Ramones shirt, faded jeans and ragged Converse All-stars. Rotterdam wets her pants ‘cause this time, The Apers VOF has some real competition. I can almost hear the youth centre volunteers, from Venlo to Den Helder, sigh with relief that they can finally book another band for their obligatory punk nights.
And I don’t know how they did it but I believe we have a winner here. Up beat pop punk with a raspy voice has been done before but I hear some melodic guitar riffs that remind me of the TKO Records heydays. And that combination makes me want to spin this disc over and over (and over) again.
Great production, awesome song writing and nice guest appearances by the Lookout! gods from yesteryear, Danny Vapid and Kepi Ghoulie; this record has it all. I’m impressed.
