Ichor - The Siege

Ichor is a young band from Trier founded in the beginning of 2008. The young guys (when I look at the promo picture I guess they are around twenty) are influenced by the popular Deathcore genre and since this music dominates the German scene it's no wonder Bastardized has added Ichor to their roster.

The Deathcore is mixed with technical Death Metal the brutal way and you can place Ichor somewhere between the The Acacia Strain and Dying Fetus. The first one because of the breakdowns and down-tuned mosh parts, the second one because of the blast beats, brutal death metal riffs and grunts. They�ve also added melodic riffs The Black Dahlia Murder is known for in for example �This is my will to kill�. You can�t be powerful on �The Siege� all the time is what they probably thought�

Keeping in mind these five guys are around for just over a year you can�t expect brilliant songs but I can�t deny they have written some brutal stuff. The ten songs won�t be very original in 2009, they are sure effective as hell and I think lots of young kids will go nuts when Ichor is released on stage.
