Sink Or Swim/In One Piece - Split

When I opened a package with a bunch of different 7�s for reviewing purposes, the first one that really catches my eye was this split record by Sink Or Swim and In One Piece. The artwork is stunning. It is a drawing of evil boars and a bunny and some other animals destroying a city. I loved the drawings, they look amazingly cool.

Sink Or Swim is band from Germany that made a lot of waves in their native country but still needs to be picked up by the kids outside the country. Their 90�s hardcore sometimes in the vain of Chokehold and Earth Crisis, is well worth to be noticed. Their demo was the first proof and these two new songs are in the same vain but a notch better. The lyrics are top notch, same goes for the production.

In One Piece is a self acclaimed Skate Edge band, I dunno exactly what to think but listening to it, I would say it is something between Judge, Strife with some Youth Of Today and a tad of crossover thrash. These guys are from Finland and they dropped a demo tape before the release of this split record. I didn�t hear the demo, so I can�t really say if they improved a lot or changed their style, but I think these songs are a nice introduction. Very cool lyrics with a nice borrowed part. The production is decent too.

Two good bands, four good songs on a slap of vinyl in a dazzling sleeve = buying this record.
