I had some pretty good expectations when I got this record in the mail. The package looks really cool, with a nice Durer drawing on the front and just a good layout. I read on their website that the guys in Trail of Hope are influenced by older bands like Madball and newer bands like No Turning Back, so with that thought in mind, I put the record in my stereo.
The first thing I notice is that the production could have been a little less clean, because the record doesn't sound aggressive or heavy like the before mentioned bands. Together with the vocals, that sound a bit boring, the record looses my attention pretty quick, although I can hear that the songs aren't bad or anything. They will probably sound a lot better live, than on the record.
Besides all this, I don't really get why they decided to put out a record with 11 songs. It's hard to keep that much songs interesting, and this record proves that once more.
