What do you get if you mix up Samaritan's vocalist Luca with Italians from bands as Face Your Enemy or Traces Of You, which were all unfamiliar to me? Well don't expect something new or groundbreaking, but ever so effective.
Through heavy and straight hardcore thrash in the likes of Hatebreed, Born From Pain, Merauder or Stampin' Ground you just get smashed around the room. There are a lot of repetitions in this kind of music, but the few tempo changes are so effective that the mosh breakdowns arrive harder than you would expect. All of this forms the platform where vocalist Luca wants to spread his message. His lyrics are very socially involved and according to the biography based on facts and not fiction.
It's going fast for Embrace Destruction, they're only in existence since 2008 and Kingdom Of Torture is already their first full record, nevertheless they're already planning on releasing a second one in December 2010. In the meantime we can enjoy this one. A fierce record that sticks in your head.
