WR3 (War Risk 3 in full, not sure why they thought it was necessary to abbreviate the name) is a rocking Belgian punk band. They started in 1980, called it quits in 1986, made a new start in 1996 and have been playing ever since.
This EP contains seven very simple songs. Most of them consist of little more than three lines of lyrics and roughly the same amount of chords. Which shouldn't necessarily be a problem since it worked rather well for the Ramones, right? Thing is, if you work with such a minimalistic formula, you're gonna need some pretty damn strong song material to pull it off.
WR3 manages to come up with a couple of nice hooks, most notably the singalong in 'Rock N Roll Girl' and the main melody in 'Why Do We Kill'. Unfortionately it's not enough to make up for the lack of originality and creativity and the annoying repetetiveness of the songs.
Having said that, I do have to give these veterans credit for still sounding as enthousiastic and energetic as they do. And for just going on, doing what they've been doing for decades, without caring about any of the trends, fashions and changes around them. More power to WR3 for that.
