Skarhead - Dreams Don't Die

I Scream

It seems like cover albums never go out of style. Skarhead is the next in line to release one of those. Lord Ezec explains it as follows:

This is a cover record with songs that I loved and listened to when I first got into hardcore music. (...) Songs from the late '80s to the early '90s, a time of our lives in which the hardcore movement meant the world to us and turned us into the men we are today.

The title 'Dreams Don't Die' was taken from a graffiti movie that Ezec loved to watch when he was a kid. So all in all this record can be seen as a personal trip down memory lane.

So is it worth listening to for the rest of us as well? Sure it is. We all know the songs on this record (check the track list below) and it's cool to hear the Skarhead versions of those classics. Although the songs are by very different NYHC bands, they sound like Skarhead now. For me personally it's not a record I'm going to listen to a lot though. There are only very few cover albums in my collection that I play regularly. In this case I'm going to stick to the originals.

Track list:
