AsIce.net stops doing reviews and interviews

posted by: David on 4 November 2011

As you've noticed, the number of reviews and interviews on AsIce.net has been decreasing for a while. The reason is simple: lack of motivation. The crew members that wanted to continue doing reviews and interviews have found their new home at www.swnk.org, so you can find their writings there. As far as AsIce.net goes: we'll keep the message board open and the show list active. Maybe someday the site will continue in an active way. Who knows? End of an era, 'aderlating voor de scene', etc. LABELS, PROMOTORS AND BANDS: PLEASE STOP SENDING US PROMOS Please contact SWNK.org instead

posted by: David on 12 September 2011

Another year has passed, which means another Incubate is coming up. At the start of the new club season Incubate showcases a lot of music, art, film, dance and debate. We are concentrating on the heavy music side of the festival. New talent plays together with the giants of Lustmord, Yob, The Fall and Trial. Both have found their place at Incubate 2011. AsIce.net gives you a brief introduction on which metal/hardcore/punk acts can't be missed. Check it out!

Mose Giganticus: a one man band with both feet on the ground!

posted by: David on 5 August 2011

Anyone who’s into Mastodon and Kylesa should take note of Mose Giganticus. Anyone who thinks synthesizer sounds shouldn’t be incorporated into Sludge metal must also listen to this new band from the United States. Well, new isn’t exactly correct, since the band has been around since 1999, but they only surfaced with the album ‘Gift Horse’. Asice.net spoke to mastermind Matt Garfield and he had some interesting things to tell. Check it out!

A small chat with Ned (Title Fight)

posted by: David on 11 May 2011

Nico: One of the most exciting live bands, that I have seen last year was Title Fight. There was some kind of freshness and enthusiasm in their set, they kept me interested and listening more and more to their previous 7”s. I noticed I was getting more and more into this band. So when I got the opportunity to do a small email interview, I dove right in to do it. Check it out!
