The ice age has come to an end. Thank you all for your support over the years. It's been fun, but it's time for someone else to take over. Head over to SWNK for your daily dose of hardcore music. While you're there, check out the interview with the founders of Asice.net. - David

The Lawrence Arms - Buttsweat and Tears

Fat Wreck

The Lawrence Arms celebrate their 10 year anniversary with a new 7” on Fat Wreck. Both the band and their current label haven’t led me down in those 10 years so I was pretty stoked. I gave “Oh Calcutta” a raving review and it’s still one of my favourite records of this decade.
These five new tracks continue where “Oh Calcutta” ended and again they are jaw dropping good. Even though the band hasn’t been that active the last couple of years, the rhythm section (Brendan and Neil) formed The Falcon and guitar player Chris started Sundowner, the magic is still there. The different voices of Brendan and Chris increase the vocal synergy levels and the song writing skills are hardly matched by any of their peers. I salute them for making music on this level for ten years without repeating themselves.
Downloading gets you five tracks while vinyl nerds have to settle with four. God hates us all!

de keer dat ik ze live heb gezien, vond ik het niet best, beetje een afknapper!

Word! Wat een super vet album! Ben benieuwd. Het laatste wat ik hoorde op hun myspace was vrij braaf.
